Structured Appraisal

Many companies manage performance via an annual appraisal system, expecting a once a year intervention to provide a single one off leap in employee performance. But the reality is that most people do not improve like that – they improve a bit at a time, day by day. And that happens by managers providing continual feedback to staff about their performance and how it may be improved. 

In an ideal world this would happen anyway. In the real world business priorities get in the way and differences in approaches mean that consistency can be difficult to achieve.

Compi-tens enables managers to carry out simple structured appraisals of employees. Each appraisal contains a defined set of competences and a marking system related to a core element of an employee’s role – say call handling or carrying out a sales appointment.

A score is calculated and future objectives are set and the employee’s progress may be tracked over time – as may the evaluating appraiser or manager.
